Defending My Work and Addressing the AI Misuse Concerns
Where are your questions based on?These sound like false accusations, and I’d like to defend myself properly.
The first accusation is complete nonsense.Have you actually seen the quality of AI-generated 3D models? They are still far behind compared to what I created.
I have the original video showing how I designed the model, and I even modified it to a larger version, added more details, and designed the lanterns myself, all specifically for this competition.
I simply didn’t include the modeling footage in my competition video because my main focus was the diorama, not the 3D modeling process, and the video was already long enough. If the organizers want to verify the originality, I can provide the design and modeling video anytime. Can every contestant who didn’t share a making-of video say the same?
But you can see cleraly here, when I added the texture of the roof:

My video clearly shows when I remove the printed model from the printer and clean it by hand, please start with watching it before you do an “investigation” and accusation next time.

My entry was a diorama, not a single 3D model.
I ordered and used a few small ready-made figures, but I also purchased and prepared many other raw materials, LEDs, artificial grass, dried flowers, clay, concrete, foam, and wires, etc… (why didn’t you track those too?)Those elements are not the main focus of my piece, the Korean garden is.That’s why my presentation video focuses on environment, textures, and atmosphere, rather than on the figures.I never claimed in my making-of video that I made or painted them myself.
Let’s recall what a diorama means:
A 3D miniature or life-size scene in which figures, models, or objects are arranged in a naturalistic or narrative way, often within a contained space like a box or on a base.
My entry was not just a 3D model, but a complete, handcrafted scene built from multiple artistic components.
If you don’t consider a 3D printer a legitimate tool for making art, then how is a tablet and software accepted in digital art, or a sewing machine in fashion design? How the contestant should make “everything from start to finish with their own hands” in those cases ? @Oksana Berliand
I spent over 240 hours designing, modeling, printing, painting, assembling, and editing my video, all while following the rules and sharing my making-of footage, so the jury could judge for themselves whether anything I used violated the criteria.
I’m honestly tired of a small group targeting only the 2nd and 3rd place winners, while the 1st place winner is never questioned in these posts...Interestingly, that person has never defended themselves publicly, only through other profiles, which is quite suspicious.I honestly don’t understand why I keep being attacked for this.
Last year I also came in second place, while I aimed for the first place, I had no issue accepting the winner, I was grateful that I won something. But this time it’s different, the winner failed to meet at least 2 clear criteria, and on top of that, their work appears to be strongly AI-generated.
Some comments only question the originality of my handmade work, yet they look over the 1st place entry, even though there’s no making-of video and the poem used might be generated and translated into three languages.
According to an AI validator (the same type used at universities), that poem is 97% AI-generated. Also double hyphens and semi colons are often seen in generated contex, like ChatGPT, it uses it all the time (she didn’t even remove the obvious sign from the generated text.).

So, how did the TalkTalkKorea team verify the originality of that work without a making-of video, and how did they ensure it complied with the rules?
According to the official guide:
Promotion Video Category → “You can submit various types of horizontal videos, including cinematic films, music videos, 3D motion graphics, animations, and media art.”
A webtoon clearly belongs to the Promotion Video category, not to Art & Craft, which explicitly requires handmade work and a making-of video.
So how was that entry even accepted, let alone awarded 1st place?

First off congratulations on your win. I haven't paid much attention since the winners were announced so I'm just now seeing the issues this year's contest has. I remember your work from last year and it was really good. It's unfortunate that it seems that there are some that have issue with your work this year. I would really love for the contest to continue without any controversy or issues because I do enjoy it. I hope that everything is cleared up well.
