Hello everyone, this is the writer Maya. I'll now give you a brief summary of my story, "The Stolen Pen." The story is about a young, freelance writer who falls in love with a man who doesn't reciprocate her feelings. But when he discovers her unique talent, he feigns interest and begins persuading her to give him her novels, making promises he has no intention of keeping until she agrees and starts giving him her work. Little by little, he becomes a literary giant, and when the writer realizes he's been lying to her, she decides to expose him. But he fears for his career, so he decides to imprison her in the basement of a palace from the Joseon Dynasty, which was once a graveyard for spirits. Sometimes the writer refuses to write for him, and he beats her. Once, he stabbed her hand with a pen... I'll continue…

I adore fantasy, mystery, and magic stories, and I dislike happy romances, so my overall style tends towards the dark. This year I participate, I been working hard since 2017, some years I won in 5th or 4th place, but never top 3. I think I did a good job, but the voting was kinda hard to do as some contestants have a lot of followers. I don't know where I failed to be in top 3 as I am a digital Illustrator and webtoon/comic maker.

I still happy for 5th place tho. I thank you everyone who supports my art.
