From A Curious Soul to Glorious Seoul

They say curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. Through my journey with Korean culture, I learned exactly what that means. My slogan, “From a Curious Soul to Glorious Seoul,” represents my journey from curiosity about Korean life to experiencing Seoul, a city I once only saw on screen. What began with K-entertainment sparked my interest in the Korean language. Although it demanded time and attention alongside my job as a teacher, it eventually brought me to Seoul twice: first on a business trip and later as a winner of a Korean writing competition. Through this story, I want to show that when we are curious about something, pursuing the answer can lead us to discover more than we expected. “Curious Soul” represents my desire to learn about the Korean language and culture, while “Glorious Seoul” symbolizes what I once watched became something I could experience firsthand.
