Ⅳ. Copyright, Image Rights, & Other Rules

Q1. Can I use external audio, fonts, stock images, or show another person’s image or voice?

  • External Assets: You must obtain the appropriate licenses or permissions in advance for any music, fonts, or images used. You must also provide the source and details of your permission or licensing when submitting your entry.

  • Image and Voice Rights: If you use another person’s image or voice, you must obtain their prior consent. The applicant is solely responsible for any related legal issues.

Q2. Does the copyright of a winning entry transfer to the organizers?

No. The copyright (moral and property rights) remains with the creator. However, the host (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) reserves the right to copy, display, distribute, and edit (subtitles, translation, length adjustment) the winning entries and travel reviews for non-profit/public promotional purposes for 3 years from the award date.

Q3. Are there any requirements for first-place winners after completing their trip?

1st Place winners are required to submit a travel review (essay, video, or content) upon completing their trip. Submitted reviews may be published and utilized on official channels for promotional purposes.

Q4. Can applicants under the age of 19 participate in the contest?

Yes. Non-Korean citizens of any age may enter. However, participants under the age of 19, or those considered minors under the laws of their home country, must obtain prior consent from a legal guardian before participating, providing personal information, or claiming a prize.
