Important Guidelines for Participants

1. Applicants may submit multiple works, and if the works are in different categories, winning multiple awards is possible.

2. Applicants may participate individually or as a team. In the case of team participation, the prize money and reward will be paid to a single representative. The organizer does not involve itself in matters such as the distribution within the team.

3. The reward provided to the first-place winner will be given in the form of a "Korea Travel Voucher."

4. If any of the following reasons applies, the organizer may substitute and provide another prize or prize money of equivalent value.
   ① Force majeure reasons such as natural disasters
   ② Personal circumstances of the winner, such as the inability to obtain a visa
   ③ Other reasons that the organizer deems unavoidable

5. A winner who has received the "Korea Travel Voucher" must submit a travel review (an impression essay, content, etc.) after the trip ends, and the organizer may post and use it - as content for the promotion of Korean culture and for non-profit and public-interest purposes - on the website, SNS, videos, etc. operated and managed by the organizer.

6. The prize may be changed to another prize of the same class according to the organizer's circumstances (delivery, unavailability of supply, discontinuation, etc.), and any taxes arising upon receipt of the prize must be verified and paid by the recipient themselves.

7. Entries may be submitted only for works that were personally created by the applicant on or after January 1, 2026 and that are first disclosed at this contest; the duplicate submission of works that have been entered in other contests is not permitted.

8. If an entry is set to “private” or “partially public”, or if the account that uploaded the work falls under "private," it will be excluded from judging.

9. If a work deviates from the contest theme or does not meet the submission specifications, it may be excluded from judging.

10. If identical or similar works are submitted, only the entry received first will be subject to judging, and the entries received later will be excluded from judging and consideration for an award.

11. An entry must be an original work personally planned and produced by the applicant, and works that infringe upon another person's copyright or that were produced with the help of generative AI are not eligible for entry.

12. To verify the non-use of generative AI and the originality, the organizer may, during the judging process or after the announcement of the winners, set a deadline and require prize candidates to submit additional materials regarding the creative process (a making-of story, original working files, reference-material files, etc.). If these are not submitted within the deadline, or if a violation is confirmed based on the submitted content, the work may be excluded from judging and from winning.

13. If an entry uses existing sources (audio sources, images, fonts, videos, etc.), the applicant must clearly indicate the source and usage rights of the relevant sources and must specify and submit the source and usage rights (license) of the existing sources in accordance with the form prescribed by the organizer.

14. The applicant must secure lawful usage permission in advance from the rights holder of the existing sources, and the related legal responsibility lies with the applicant.

15. If a third party's likeness or voice is used, the consent of the rights holder must be obtained in advance, and the related responsibility lies with the applicant.

16. The organizer may require only prize candidates to submit supporting documents regarding compliance with these contest guidelines, and in the case of non-submission, they may be excluded from judging.

17. The applicant must state on the application form the attribution name (real name or activity name, etc.) that the organizer will use when announcing and using the winning works. However, for fair judging, the author's attribution shall not be indicated on the entry itself.
    ※ If an applicant uses a sound source that they personally created, they must, without fail, separately state on the application form the attribution names related to the sound source (lyricist, composer, arranger, performer, etc.) and the title of the sound source.

18. No entry may infringe upon the copyright and intellectual property rights, portrait rights, voice rights, or other legal rights of third parties. If an entry violates relevant laws or is likely to infringe upon the legal rights of a third party, it may be excluded from judging and from winning, and all disputes and civil and criminal legal responsibilities arising in connection therewith lie with the applicant themselves. If a violation of relevant laws or an infringement of a third party's legal rights has been confirmed, or if there are substantial grounds to acknowledge such a violation or infringement, disqualification and cancellation of the award may occur even after the award has been confirmed, and in such a case, the awarded certificate and prize money (prize) must be returned immediately.

19. If an entry contains sexually explicit, violent, or hateful content, discriminatory expressions, false facts, or other content that does not conform to the intent and purpose of the contest, it may be excluded from judging and from the award. All disputes and civil and criminal legal responsibilities arising in connection therewith lie with the applicant.

20. Before final selection, prize-candidate works will undergo public verification - together with the organizer's own verification - by being disclosed to the domestic and international public through the website for approximately 10 days. During this period, objections regarding violations of the contest guidelines and misconduct, such as works that won other contests, the plagiarism and misappropriation of other works, copyright infringement, works already published in other media, and the use of generative AI, will also be collected. The final authority to judge the content of an objection lies with the organizer, and if the content of an objection is confirmed to be valid, the work may be excluded from judging and from winning.

21. The copyright (moral rights and economic rights) of the entry belongs to the applicant.

22. However, the organizer, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, shall have the right—only with respect to the winning works and the winners' travel reviews, and within the scope of non-profit and public-interest purposes such as the promotion of Korean culture and of this contest—to use the economic rights of the winning works (the right of reproduction, the right of public performance, the right of public transmission, the right of exhibition, the right of distribution, the rental right), the neighboring rights, and the likeness, voice, etc. for which the winner has lawfully secured the rights, for three years from the date of winning.

23. For the achievement of non-profit and public-interest purposes such as the promotion of Korean culture and of this contest, the organizer may partially modify and edit the "winning works" and the "winners' travel reviews"—such as by translation, the insertion of subtitles, the adjustment of video length, and the creation of thumbnails—within the scope that does not damage their essence.

24. When an entry is confirmed as a winning work and the winner receives the prize money, prize, etc., the winner shall be deemed to have granted the organizer permission to use the winning work within the scope of the usage methods and conditions stated in the contest guidelines, and the organizer shall be deemed to have paid just consideration, such as a usage fee, for such usage permission by paying the announced prize money or prize, etc. If the organizer wishes to use the work beyond the scope of the usage methods and conditions stated in the contest guidelines, or to be assigned all or part of the economic rights, this shall be determined through a separate agreement with the winner.

25. The winning works and winners' travel reviews posted on the organizer's official channels (website, SNS, etc.) and in publications issued by the organizer may be archived without a separate time limit for non-profit and public-interest purposes such as the promotion of Korean culture and of the contest.

26. All legal responsibility related to the entry lies with the applicant.

27. The governing law for disputes related to this contest shall be the law of the Republic of Korea.

28. If the applicant is under 19 years of age, or "falls under a minor according to the law of the applicant's home country," they must obtain the prior consent of their legal representative, in accordance with the form prescribed by the organizer, with respect to participation in the contest, the provision of personal information, the receipt of the prize, and copyright usage permission, etc. The organizer may require only prize candidates to submit an additional consent form from the legal representative within a set deadline, and in the case of non-submission of the consent form within the deadline, they may be excluded from judging and from winning.

29. Applicants must fully understand the content of these contest guidelines before entering, and responsibility for any disadvantage arising from a failure to understand these contest guidelines and relevant laws lies with the applicant themselves.
