My love for Korea and its rich culture blossomed at the age of 10. I was just a little girl when I entered the marvellous world of Korea and Korean Culture with the enchanting Korean historical drama Dae Jang Geum. I remember how I used to wear my mom's sarees and bring the show’s characters to life with my friends by playing the roles. From making Kimchi to learning to eat food with chopsticks, these were just some of the beautiful childhood memories I have while immersing myself in the world of Korean Culture. This passion led me to create my very own Hanbok a few years ago, as a cherished symbol of my deep appreciation for Korean heritage.
I dreamed a lot of what it would feel like to travel in Korea. My biggest dream to visit Korea came true last year and those days were the happiest days of my life. I realised that travelling in Korea feels like a journey through time. The elegance of architecture there got me mesmerised. The moment I saw the sunset at the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond was magical with the view of Korea’s past where reflections in the tranquil waters echo centuries of history. Walking around the Gyeongbokgung Palace and getting lost in the small streets of Bukchon Hanok Village with the beautiful Hanok, which are preserving the essence of ancient life while wearing the traditional Hanbok, absolutely felt like I'm in the Joseon Dynasty. Exploring the Chunggung Literature Library was like exploring a hidden gem surrounded by beautiful nature. There is so much beauty around even in the colours of nature. I'm sure that each leaf of trees there has their own story to tell how they witnessed the beauty of Korea through different times…🥰
