My K-Renaissance

Some people are born once, I was born twice.

Renaissance means "rebirth" and that is the essence of my K-Story. Falling in love with Korean culture at 15 altered the course of my life.

While learning about Korea, I realised that even 10,000km apart, countries like Korea and Algeria share similar histories. As an international student, the people I met while living in Korea taught me more about compassion, humanity and diversity than a hundred books could.

Above all, the experiences I had, both sweet and sour, redefined me as a person.

My curiosity was piqued in the alleys of Gwangju, my adaptability was tested in the classrooms of Chuncheon and my creativity was nourished in the heart of Seoul.

This story is not extraordinary but "rebirth" does not have to be. Trying one different thing today can be the stepping stone to rebirth. Mine was a K-pop song.
