TALKTALKKOREA2025

https://youtu.be/SGwTGb1o1KM?si=gg33nHWIFYDZFESj Hello, I'm Charith Anaya, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Colombia. I live in Santa Marta, and this is my participation video for TALKTALKKOREA2025. In this video, I wanted to show how South Korea a country 14,000 kilometers away from me is present in my daily life through its culture, music, food, entertainment, and everything Korea has to offer to those of us outside its borders. This is a day in my South Korea:

I’m walking along the bay boardwalk, an iconic place in the city where I live, and where this story begins. I want to show how I incorporate my love for South Korea into my workplace, where I take advantage of free moments to learn the language on my own and at my own pace.

I show how K-dramas have become an essential part of my life, as it has become a habit to regularly watch Korean series or movies, Instant noodles also reflect my growing interest in Korean cuisine.

Speaking of food, seeing all those dishes in K-dramas has sparked an even deeper interest beyond instant noodles. I've started including Korean recipes in my diet, as a way to feel closer to the culture.

Here I show you the flags of my country, Colombia, and South Korea merged together. Since 1951, their histories have crossed paths. The fusion of these two flags represents the place that saw me born and the country that is with me through its culture.

K-pop has been a great source of comfort in my life, as that genre helped me through a really tough time. It became my refuge and also the gateway to my love for Korean culture.

I’m writing my letter to South Korea, sharing my story and how its culture has impacted my life, expressing my gratitude and hoping that one day, it reaches its destination across the blue sea that separates us.
