Hello, I'm Joimar Rivero and I'm from Colombia.
In this work, I used the hilorama technique to represent the hanbok, the traditional Korean dress, as a symbol of identity, elegance, and cultural continuity. I used mouliné thread on a natural wood base, with the colors white, fuchsia, and blue to highlight femininity and the connection to the ancestral.
The piece was made entirely by hand as a sign of respect and admiration for Korean culture, and represents how, thread by thread, we can approach other stories, even from the other side of the world.
