freedom, talk talk korea 2025

Hello everyone 👋🏼

My name is Isabel Flores, I am Mexican. I created this painting with great care and love. I wanted it to reflect how Korean culture has influenced my daily life and how it has taught me great life lessons. The painting pays tribute to one of the most painful and significant moments in Korean history: the period of Japanese occupation and the fight for freedom. The central image is the Statue of Peace, which represents the women who were victims of slavery during this time. At her side, a girl accompanies her, demonstrating solidarity and respect. I also used the colors of the Korean flag, which are not only part of Korean identity but also represent fundamental values: life, wisdom, purity, and peace.

I also added the detail of the mugunghwa flower, which represents the resilience of the Korean people.

My intention with this work is that whoever sees it not only experiences a fragment of Korean history, but also reflects on the importance of memory, peace, and freedom. Because remembering is also a way of resisting and healing

I’m incredibly excited and proud to share that I’ve officially participated in the Talk Talk Korea 2025 contest — a global platform that celebrates Korean culture through creativity and talent from all over the world. 🌍✨

As a passionate BTS fan and art enthusiast, I chose to represent the powerful influence of Korean pop culture through a piece of handmade BTS-inspired artwork. Every part of this creation reflects my admiration for BTS, their journey, and how their message has touched millions — including me.

My artwork combines the colorful energy of K-pop with the rich detail of Indian handcrafting. From symbols representing BTS and their fans (ARMY) to touches of Hangul and cosmic themes, this piece is my way of expressing how K-culture connects people beyond borders.

I truly believe that art speaks louder than words, and this was my chance to show my love and appreciation for Korean culture in my own unique way. 💜🎨

I would love your support! Please take a moment to watch my video and share your thoughts.
