Title: To the sky

I made a chibi version of the julgwangdae using the needle felting technique. Needle felting is a dry felting technique which employs one or more specially designed needles to manipulate wool fibers.

The unique history of South Korea has great hidden gems for visitors to discover. One of these is Jultagi. It is included into South Korea's Important Intangible Cultural Properties number 58.

Jultagi, Tightrope Walking

Traditional Korean performance of tightrope walking combined with jokes, mimicry, songs, and dance along with acrobatic movements. The performers consist of the julgwangdae (acrobat), eoritgwangdae (sidekick). While tightrope walking in other countries tends to focus on the walking techniques alone, Korean tightrope walkers are interested in songs and comedy as well as acrobatic stunts, thereby involving the spectators more intimately in the performance.
