Hugs from Venezuela!

Hello everybody! I'm Andrea from Venezuela.

I published my video on YouTube, but I wanted to share it with you all on this forum. I made my video in honor of the fight for independence, a topic that touches me very deeply because of my country's history.

My goal was to artistically represent my perspective on the Korean people's perseverance and determination, as well as some historical events that took place during the occupation:

1. Massive deforestation/resource exploitation

2. The prohibition of the korean language and the forced imposition of japanese names (identity)

3."Comfort women"

4. The march 1st movement

5. Liberation activists

6. Arson committed by the Japanese as a form of repression

7. Gwangbokjeol (restoration of light -Liberation Day)

8. The Miracle on the Han River, represented as a seed that grows into a Mugunghwa plant, shows all the efforts the Korean people made to transform into the powerful nation it is today.

"The people who fought relentlessly for freedom planted the seeds for a brighter future".

PD: I created this animation on Procreate. Thanks to this contest, I made my first animated short film🎉. I hope it's the first of many.

Good luck, everyone!💜✨
